Joseph’s Coat. 2015. Monotype, mixed media, 200x300 cm
This unique monotype on fabric traces the important moments in the life of Joseph within the shape of his famous coat. Using the theme of clothing and how it changes from one condition to another, this work depicts the various highs and lows of Joseph’s life, including his imprisonment in a pit, his time in Potiphar’s house and Potiphar’s wife’s attempted seduction of him, and his prophetic dreams, which stretch across the upper portion of the work.
